This Privacy Policy explains how Hero Wars Lab (“we”, “us”, “the site”) collects, uses and protects information when you use this website. Hero Wars Lab is an independent fan site and is not affiliated with Nexters Global or the Hero Wars game.

• Account information. When you create an account we store your email address. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your email address and basic public profile details (such as your name and profile picture) from that provider.
• Profile information. Any username or avatar you choose to add.
• Content you post. Comments and any images you upload.
• Technical data. Standard information such as your browser type and a session cookie that keeps you logged in.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• To display your comments and profile on the site.
• To send you essential account emails (such as email confirmation and password resets).
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

Legal basis

Where the UK GDPR / EU GDPR applies, we process your information to perform our service to you (providing your account), on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and securing the site, and with your consent where required.

Service providers we use

We rely on trusted third parties to run the site. They process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — accounts, database and authentication.
• Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery.
• Cloudinary — image hosting.
• Resend — sending account emails.
• Google and Facebook — only if you choose to sign in with them.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work — chiefly to keep you logged in. We do not use them to track you across other websites.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile and comments are removed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can edit your profile and delete your account and its data at any time from your account page. To make any other request, contact us (below).

Children

This site is not directed at children under the age required to consent to online services in their country (for example, 13 in the UK). We do not knowingly collect information from such children.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, they are expected to provide appropriate safeguards for that data.
